Here’s a new sensory bin activity!
By using egg cartons, paint and pom poms, you can create a simple color sorting activity! It will also allow the children to discern between various sizes of pom poms if you get a package with small medium and large poms.
All that is needed to make it is:
- Egg cartons
- Multicolor paint that matches the pom poms
- Multicolor pom poms
- Paintbrushes
- Scissors
Just cut some holes on the bottom of the egg carton wells, push them open with your fingers, and then paint them the same colors as the pom poms.
I also made small, medium, and large-sized holes because the package of pom poms I got came with small, medium, and large pom poms. This is optional!
If you try this activity out, let me know how it was received in your classroom! I’m going to use it in my classroom with 2 year olds, but my 8 year old daughter also thought it was a solid activity.
